1. What do Buddhists believe? -The Noble Eightfold Path is one of the principal teachings of Buddhism. It defines the basic practices of Buddhism that leads to Nirvana.

2. How is it different from other religions? –Unlike other religions, Buddhism does not depend on a revelation from the divine for its truths. Buddhist truths were discovered through the inward reflections of a man, and are therefore potentially understandable by anyone.

3. What kind of scripture and prayer do they have? – Buddhist does not have a specific prayer they meditate and read. Buddhist worship at homes or temples and they use mundras, mandalas, mantras and prayer beads to capitalize on the goal of achieving spiritual enhancement.

4. What is most unique about Buddhism? –The moral life of Buddhism requires observance. Five Percepts:

     1. Do not take life.

     2. Do not take what is not given.

     3. Do not engage in sensuous misconduct.

     4. Do not use false speech.

     5. Do not drink intoxicants

5. How does Buddhism treat other people who are not Buddhist? –Buddhist treat other not Buddhist with love, kindness and compassion.

6. Women’s rights in Buddhism? – Women are treated equally in Buddhism.

7. Buddhist houses of worship, art and culture. – Nan Tien is a Buddhist house of worship. Buddhist art originated on the Indian subcontinent following the historical life of Siddharta Gautama, 6th to 5th century BC, and thereafter evolved by contact with other cultures as it spread throughout Asia and the world.
